I believe that within a strong, collaborative relationship, problem-focused therapeutic goals can be reached in a timely manner. I see children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of presenting problems, including: anxiety, depression, inattention and distractibility, relational difficulties, and the complicated interaction between managing a chronic medical condition and maintaining psychological well being.
I am a proponent of researched based, yet psychodynamically informed, psychotherapy. This means that we may explore the past a bit, in order to discover what is blocking the ability to acquire or integrate newly learned coping skills here and now.
